Description The main purpose of this role is to support the commercial department within the Rail & Built Environment. This key role in the Rail & Built Environment Academy team will be responsible for the administration of all commercial training courses in-line with external governing body standards and internal quality management systems.

Primary Role

The primary function of the Safety Critical Training and Assessment Co-Ordinator role is to ensure that safety critical elements associated with the provision of commercial training and assessment are carried out in compliance with RTAS rules, Sentinel rules, and Network rail standards. This will include the recording of mandatory data, collation of records, control of working hours, and document control management.

Secondary Role

The secondary function of this role will be to liaise with all commercial customers; and take responsibility for all enquiries, course billing and payment, candidates’ needs, certification registrations etc.

Commercial marketing and social media duties will also be included to ensure that the training products offered remain accurate and competitive. Additionally, this role will require Project Management responsibilities to canvass industry training and competence needs and ensure that the Rail & Built Environment can offer a competitive course provision to meet these needs.

This role will include the duties of CIRAS representative.

The candidate must hold a driving license and be qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3 and is desirable if they have an underpinning knowledge of The Sentinel Scheme and hold Personal Track Safety Competence. It is essential that the candidate possesses excellent IT and organizational skills and has experience in Project Management.
