Lambeth Academy opened in September 2004 as a new school which our community was keen to establish and as one of the first City Academies. We are now full and our foundation year completed their Year 13 in July 2011.
The next stage of our journey is to build on our successes and firm foundations and to ‘be exceptional’ in all that we do. We strive to be the best that we can be and for Lambeth Academy to be a place where people want to come to work, to learn and to be part of. Job title: Facilities and Event Manager

Salary: £27,000 per year negotiable (37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks/year; 25 days holiday)
About the role: We are looking for a person to manage and ensure that Lambeth Academy’s site are maintained in a safe, clean and secure condition; undertaking all tasks necessary for effective site management; coordinating events and ensuring the lettings of the buildings are administered correctly.

Qualifications health and safety qualification word, excel and outlook clean UK/EU drivers’ license
Preferred Skills Experience, knowledge and skills Minimum 12 months experience of site manager role or similar (worked in a supervisory position) Experience of working in a school environment Ability to work as part of a team that provides a wide range of services, to include incoming goods distribution, checking of personal emails for details of any faults reported, litter picking internally and externally on daily basis. Well developed communication skills, to include liaising with staff and external contractors, students and parents, governing bodies and visitors. Time Management, work planning, duty assignment, rotas, to include prioritising own work as well as the teams’ workload, able to carry out general handyman tasks, being flexible in working practices, keeping good hours of attendance. Ability to work effectively alone, and as a team member General office skills, to include basic word, excel and outlook. Ability to understand everyday issues relating to the post, identify faults, be proactive, and impart knowledge to other team members Able to understand and apply regulations e.g. health and safety (health and safety qualification) and completing risk assessments To understand and comply with all Health and safety procedures in place at the academy, to be aware of the Equal opportunity policy adhered to by the academy, and comply with the ethos of the Academy at all times.
